MGMT - It's Working

Thank God for college drop outs. What would we, or more specifically I, have done if MGMT hadn't quit Wesleyan University? What would I have spent the summer of 2008 listening religiously to?!

This year MGMT released their second album Congratulations following the soundtrack to summer 2008 that was Oracular Spectacular. I was lucky enough to see it performed before its release at Heaven in London which showed not only that they can pen amazing summer anthems, but are worthy musicians too. I love the heightened '60s vibe of this record, as well as the surprise that Andrew VanWyngarden can pull off some relatively normal clothes. Did he keep all those ponchos?
