Jayson Musson, the Philadelphia based artist, sometime rapper in Plastic Little and self titled 'gorilla in a tie' said about the paintings: 'All over the wold people loved Obama, and I felt as though people were reduced to this faith in a person akin to the type of faith children have in their parents'. His paintings are investigation into the almost mythological status of Obama as if done by a child. At the time, it really did almost seem like he was superhuman.
